Miriam Hyman Memorial Trust / MHMT
The Miriam Hyman Memorial Trust became a registered charity in 2008. It supports Miriam's memorial, the Miriam Hyman Children's Eye Care Centre in Odisha, India and her legacy, "Miriam's Vision: A Response to the 2005 London Bombings".

The Miriam Hyman Children's Eye Care Centre is within the L V Prasad Eye Institute, Odisha, India. There is an average 10,000 Outpatients appointments and 1,000 surgeries per year. The MHMT is supporting its Outreach programme.

Miriam was 32 when she was killed on 7/7, on the bus in Tavistock Square.

On 7th July, 2005 four suicide bombers coordinated attacks on the London transport system. 52 people were killed and estimated 700 injured.

Dr Buckman
Dr Laurence Buckman was Chair of the General Practitioners Committee in 2005. He was at a meeting at BMA House on Tavistock Square when the bus exploded on 7/7 and attended the wounded all day.

Pipili is a town in Odisha that depends on its famous appliquÈ crafts. Population: 18,000.
